When I first saw this settlement of trulli dating back to
the 18th century, they were used as shelters for cattle although
they were once peaceful dwellings of farmers in this area.
The animals were an integral part of this small community where everything was shared, from the water in the communal tank to the bread baked in the oven, to celebrations in the farmyard after toiling in the fields.

As years went by, I learnt to admire more and more these buildings,
created by ingenious humble men, and saw beyond their ruinous state.
So after 300 years our trulli have been given a new lease of life:
I have restored them back to their original beauty and they are now ready
to welcome those who seek to discover our region.

We look forward to welcoming you here!

We are located just under 1 mile from the nearest town, Locorotondo, in one of the many ‘contrade’, country hamlets where life used to move at a slow pace and was dominated by the change of seasons and work in the fields.
Today you can get away from your busy lives enjoying peace and quiet, ambling through the countryside, savouring its scents.
This is a region of fascinating hill-top medieval towns, like Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Cisternino and Ostuni and larger towns on the sea like Polignano and Monopoli, all rich in folklore, culinary and wine-growing traditions.
It will be our pleasure to guide you in the discovery of this part of Puglia!
